Sporty and chic

**HOW TO**

A couple of tips for mastering a sporty chic street-style look:

*Build your outfit on a basic piece

*If the look is too basic, dress it up with some bold patent stilettos or some black leather boots. On the other hand, if your basic piece has a little detail to it, you can dress it down with a pair of pony hair loafers or some cool high tops .

*Use one statement piece to give your outfit character. Pick the crazy printed jumper or a shiny leather; don't overdo it.

Ultimately you want to accomplish a complete look that is interesting, but looks effortless. So select your accessories carefully to finish the outfit, not clutter or confuse it.
The key is to dress your outfit up and then back down using shoes, accessories, prints and colors to do that. Opt for a cool cap, bold chunky necklace or a unique headpiece.

These looks I've chosen below are from the Chadstone AW 2014 runway. They give impeccable examples on how to do the above, and then some.
