Tips and tricks for an easy (and very wearable) makeup

Let´s talk about beauty. As a fashion journalist, I love writing on new collections, collabs, designers, models, and everything related to this world – specially beauty trends. And what I noticed in the New York/London/Milan/Paris fall 2014 shows is that brown, the most classic color ever, is cool again. Narciso Rodriguez, Fendi, Hugo Boss, Burberry and Tom Ford are some of the labels that chose brown eyeshadow for its beauty looks. It made me think about a video I shot exactly one year ago for Glamour magazine.

Back then, Marc Jacobs had just presented his fall 2013 collection and I used the makeup that Mr. François Nars designed for the occasion (intense smoky eyes + nude lips) as an inspiration for the tutorial you can watch below. It’s such an easy way to "beautify" yourself and it can be used for every occasion. Plus, as Es wrote in a recent post, brown is the perfect color to substitute black in the summer. For those who don´t speak Portuguese, here are some of the tips I give:

- Choose duo fiber brush to apply the foundation

- Spread the concealer with fingertips in gentle strokes

- Use concealer on the eyelid to help better define the shadow

- The lighter shade adds depth

- Remove excess lipstick with a tissue

PS:  I’m not a model nor a make up artist, so please don’t judge the awkwardness in front of the camera and the less than perfect makeup result! <3
